Connect Empatico to Intercom

To enable Empatico to analyze your customer conversations in Intercom, please grant API access by following these steps.

Important: Administrator privileges are required to create apps and generate access tokens. This ensures proper access to all necessary features and data that Empatico needs to function correctly.

Step 1: Log in to Intercom

  • Access your Intercom account with administrator privileges

Step 2: Access Developer Hub

  • In the left sidebar, scroll down and click on Settings (gear icon)
  • Select Developers to enter the Developer Hub

Step 3: Create New App

  • Click on "New app"
  • Name the app (e.g., "Integration with empatico.ai")
  • Select your primary workspace from the dropdown menu
  • Click Create app

Step 4: Get Access Token

  • Once the app is created, you'll be redirected to its settings
  • Go to the "Configure" section
  • Navigate to "Authentication"
  • Locate the Access Token

Important: Copy this token and store it securely. You won't be able to see it again.

Step 5: Provide Token to Empatico

Send the following information to Empatico:

  • The Access Token you just generated

Note: This token will allow Empatico to securely access your Intercom account.

Security Recommendations

  • Keep these credentials in a secure location and do not share them with unauthorized individuals
  • If you suspect the credentials have been compromised, revoke the token from your platform's settings and generate a new one
