Connect Empatico to Zendesk

To enable Empatico to analyze your customer conversations in Zendesk, please grant API access by following these steps.

Important: Administrator privileges are required to generate API tokens and manage integrations. This ensures proper access to all necessary features and data that Empatico needs to function correctly.

Step 1: Log in to Zendesk

  • Access your Zendesk account with administrator privileges

Step 2: Navigate to Admin Center

  • Click on the Products icon (four squares) in the top right corner
  • Select Admin Center

Step 3: Access API Settings

  • In the left sidebar, click on Apps and integrations
  • Select Zendesk API

Step 4: Enable Token Access

  • In the Settings tab, ensure that Token Access is enabled
  • If not enabled, activate it and click Save

Step 5: Create API Token

  • Go to the API Tokens tab
  • Click on Add API token
  • Name the token (e.g., "Token for Empatico")
  • Click Create token

Step 6: Save Generated Token

Important: Copy the generated token and store it securely. For security reasons, this token will not be shown again.

  • Copy and securely store the generated token
  • Click Close to finish

Step 7: Provide Credentials to Empatico

Send the following information to Empatico:

  • Zendesk subdomain (e.g., if your URL is https://mydomain.zendesk.com, the subdomain is "mydomain")
  • Administrator email (the email you used to log in)
  • API Token (the one you just generated)

Security Recommendations

  • Keep these credentials in a secure location and do not share them with unauthorized individuals
  • If you suspect the credentials have been compromised, revoke the token from your platform's settings and generate a new one
